Classic Whisky Sour

Whiskey sour, singleton. grinder


50ml Bourbon

25ml Lemon juice

Pinch of Maldon Salt

15ml Sugar syrup

1 Egg white


Fresh orange slice, to garnish

Fresh cherry, to garnish

Angostura bitters


Here is a classic Whisky Sour recipe. A whisky sour consists of Bourbon, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white. Traditionally garnished with a glace cherry, this version uses a fresh cherry instead to nod towards Summer.

In a cocktail shaker add the bourbon, lemon juice, Maldon salt, sugar syrup and egg white. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for 1 – 2 minutes. Fill a small rocks glass with ice and then strain the cocktail over. Garnish with a slice of orange and a fresh cherry on a cocktail stick. Finally add a couple of dashes of angostura bitters.
